The False Joys Of Christmas
Christmas is a term that every American is familiar with, even lacking a politically correct approach to the name. For years, people have been gradually trying to take Christ out if every part of this wonderful holiday and making it into a day that lacks the essential ingredient which is the entire purpose of it to begin with. Happy Holidays is a phrase that is heard and the Christ who's birthday is supposed to be celebrated on this day is replaced by presents and a man who's memory time has distorted named Santa Clause. Who's special day is it anyway? It's God's only son's! We have corrupted every part of this great day and turned it into a holiday that benefits ourselves. Children can grow up believing in Santa, but it's against the law to believe in the one who saved you from eternal damnation and who loves you more than anyone ever could. Why has the colors of the United States been thus shaded? Why, as one of the most "civilized and learned people groups", have we missed the entire point? Generations grow up only knowing that Christmas is a time for gifts, and for the adults, stress in trying to find the right gifts for loved ones. Just ask yourself, is this how this holiday should be celebrated or is there a deeper meaning? Perhaps one day a realization will dawn on America, but as the times grow darker and fall prey to more of the influence of the devil (yes, there is a devil), I believe there shall be no renewing of it. Unfortunately, that is the way of the world.
