Damon

In my last post, I spoke on one of the greatest shows on television right now, The Vampire Diaries. Well, to my great delight, season two finally premiered. There have been 8 AMAZING episodes so far, each with so much drama and new revealed secrets! Tonights episode was especially memorable. Stefan Salvatore, I once stated, was the better looking vampire brother. However, I have begun to LOVE Damon Salvatore even more. :) To me, it seems that the scenes I remember the most from this series are the Damon and Elena moments. In season one, it was the dancing scene between these two. Tonight, it was definitely the scene when Damon finally tells Elena he loves her. It was a heartbreaking moment. Damon wants to be loved so much. He loved Katherine once upon a time (who is now locked in a tomb for good!) and she loved Stefan despite this. History repeated itself now with Elena. The poor guy can't seem to get a break! Despite all of his flaws and self obsessed manners, Damon has finally realized what it means to be selfless and put the ones you love first. After telling Elena he loves her, he proceeds to admit he doesn't deserve her, but his brother does. After this whole confession, while shedding a tear, he compels her to forget the whole thing and disappears. Despite Damon's "evil" nature, season two has brought out the human side of him that feels and loves. I am excited to see how this love triangle plays out! I know Elena will end up with Stefan, and most people want this to take place, but I sincerely hopes she gives Damon a chance. Although Damon was a major bad guy when we first meet him, many viewers forget that Stefan was the same in the past. Hopefully, the writers will keep up the suspense and amazing storyline in episodes to come!
